This is a content-quality audit, not just a metadata parser. It looks for writing and structure problems that make a page harder to understand, scan or trust.

What it checks

  • Main-content word count, separated from common page boilerplate
  • English readability, including estimated grade level, sentence length and dense paragraphs
  • Heading structure, heading-level jumps, lists, tables and other scannable blocks
  • Exact duplicate main content across crawled URLs
  • Article-like pages missing clear author or publish/update signals
  • Title, meta description, H1 and image-alt basics

How to read the results

The report starts with the most common problems, then separates readability, structure and page-level findings. Grade 8–10 is treated as a practical target for broad English-language web content, not a rule for technical or specialist writing.

About AI detection

The tool does not claim that a page is “X% AI-written.” Current text detectors can misclassify human writing. Instead, the audit flags observable problems such as repetitive sentence openings, difficult reading level, dense prose, weak structure and duplicate content.

Limits, for now

Up to 300 pages per audit and a daily budget of 5 audits per account, shared across the site's audit tools.
