This Enterprise SEO Proposal Template is an editable DOCX document for scoping large-site SEO engagements. It includes sections for project context, workstreams, deliverables, phased roadmap, governance and blank pricing.
Preparer notes are visually separated so the document can be safely cleaned before sending to a client.
Adapt the proposal before sending it
Use the document after the project context is clear enough to define the work. Replace placeholders with the actual scope, deliverables, inputs, assumptions, dependencies, and commercial terms for the engagement. Keep uncertain items explicit instead of turning them into implied commitments.
Keep scope and expectations aligned
Review the final version from the buyer's point of view. A reader should be able to see what is included, what is not included, what the client must provide, and how the work moves from research to delivery. Remove preparer notes and confirm that pricing or timing fields reflect the specific project before the document is shared.
Practical handoff check
Before the file is treated as finished, read it once from the perspective of the person who will use it next. Remove stale placeholders, keep unresolved questions visible, and make sure the main evidence and next action are easy to find. A completed template should show what was checked without implying that open items were already verified.
Keep the final version focused on the project in front of you. Delete examples that no longer apply, use plain notes where context is needed, and avoid filling a field simply because it exists. The goal is a file that can move directly into review or work without another round of cleanup.
